Admission and study rules



All candidates must fill up their applications forms duly send to the academic office at YBC. Once they fulfill the criteria that they are required of will be selected for the course of study in accordance with the current vacancy.

Academic orientation

Once they are admitted, they will be given the academic information and college regulations at the start of the college. It is compulsory for all students to present themselves for the opening of academic year.


All students should register for compulsory and optional classes each term on the days allocated before classes commence.


Full class attendance is expected of all students and registers of attendance are maintained. The student must have a minimum of 80% attendance for any given subject.


Each subject is planned with self study apart from class room learning. Each student is required to work on the assignment for each subject in every semester. 20% of total mark is reserved for assignment for each subject. Late submission of assignment would cause the deduction of 5 to 7 marks from the consolidating marks. Each assignment submission is required of each courses dine by the students.


The Academic office administers final examinations. They are held in all subjects at the end of each semester according to the prearranged examination time table. In all subjects the final examination paper is of 3 hours duration.


The class teacher grades class work. In all examination, if necessary, the papers could be evaluated independently by two examiners, of which the first examiner is the teacher.
